Indonesia · Java Island Coal-Fired Power Plant Project

Project Background: The State Electricity Company of Indonesia (PLN) is constructing a 2×1000MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plant on Java Island, requiring a large quantity of alloy steel flanges (ASTM A182 F11/F22) and high-temperature, high-pressure pipe fittings.

Client Challenges:

– Ultra-supercritical operating conditions: temperatures exceeding 600°C and pressures exceeding 25 MPa, requiring high-grade materials

– Indonesian SNI certification requirements

– The project is divided into multiple packages, requiring phased deliveries according to the construction schedule

Solution:

– Supplied F22 CL3 forged flanges, each accompanied by a PMI (spectral analysis) report

– Assisted in obtaining SNI certification, with a complete set of bilingual (Indonesian/English) documentation

– Developed a phased delivery schedule aligned with project milestones, and established a forward warehouse in Jakarta to ensure responsiveness

Deliverables: On-time delivery for three consecutive contract packages; the client commented that “on-time delivery rates and quality consistency exceeded expectations”

Brazil · Santos Basin Offshore Platform Project

Project Background: Petrobras’ offshore platform construction project in the pre-salt oil fields of the Santos Basin requires duplex stainless steel flanges (ASTM A182 F51/F53) and matching pipe fittings.

Customer Challenges:
– Offshore platforms impose extremely stringent requirements on materials’ resistance to seawater corrosion
– Must comply with Petrobras Technical Specification N-2621
– Brazilian customs clearance is complex, requiring advance preparation of a complete set of certification documents

Solution:
– Selected 2205/2507 duplex stainless steel and provided PMIT (pitting temperature) test reports
– Technical documentation was cross-referenced against N-2621 item by item, and a Compliance Matrix was prepared
– Coordinated with Brazilian customs brokers in advance to prepare INMETRO certification materials

Deliverables: Successfully passed Petrobras’ incoming inspection and became one of the designated suppliers for its Pre-Salt project
